ARTIST STATEMENT

My work is a playful merge of painting and sculpture. The colors are expressions of emotions, thoughts and experiences symbolizing strength and energy. Through the works of art, I want to capture the embodiment of dream-like environments that resonate within the mind even after they have visually disappeared.

With the use of vibrant colors and contrasting textures I create an essence that resides within the work of art; conveying the feelings of strength, love, and the energies that come between them.

 

BIO

I have been drawing since childhood taking inspiration from comic books and animations. Starting with beloved crayons and markers; I slowly began my transition into into charcoal, graphite, and acrylics; which allowed for limitless experimentation. I live and work in New York, NY and have shown my work in various galleries and exhibitions throughout New York city. I recently completed my BA in Art and specialize in both figurative drawing and painting.
